11.11 is coming, and your phone is about to fill up with countdown timers, flash deals and "only 2 left" warnings. Perfume is one of the best things to buy in a sale, but only if you know what you are actually paying for. Here is how to shop 11.11 for perfume without regret.
Why 11.11 is a good time to buy perfume
11.11 falls on 11 November, and it has become one of the biggest online shopping days in Pakistan. The timing works well for perfume, for three reasons.
- Shaadi season starts in November. From the dholki to the walima, wedding season runs through the winter, and you will need a scent for every function.
- Winter is perfume weather. Cooler air helps scent sit closer to the skin and fade more slowly, and warmer, richer perfumes come into their own.
- Gifting season is close. Weddings, birthdays and year end visits all need gifts, and a good perfume is easy to wrap and hard to get wrong.
Check the real price, not just the percentage
A big "70% off" sign means nothing if the original price was never real. Before you add anything to your cart:
- Look at the price in rupees, not the discount. PKR 2,499 is PKR 2,499, whatever the banner says.
- Compare by bottle size. A cheap 30 ML bottle can cost more per spray than a 50 ML bottle at a slightly higher price.
- Note the price before the sale. If you write it down now, you will know on 11 November whether the deal is real.
- Read the full total. Delivery charges, cash on delivery fees and add ons can turn a bargain back into a normal price.
Know what you are paying for
A sale price only matters if the perfume is worth wearing. Three things tell you most of what you need to know:

A cheap perfume you never wear is not a saving. Before you buy, match the scent to how you will use it:
